Secure your long stay visitor Visa + Set Up Your French Healthcare without the stress!

France, here you come!

WE'D LOVE TO HELP YOU START YOUR NEW LIFE IN FRANCE TOO!

Why Baguette Bound?

we understand.
we've done it ourselves.

It’s a lot of research, paperwork, and navigating unfamiliar systems in a new language. Since this is something you’ll only do once, that can feel like a big investment of time and mental energy during an already stressful time.

That’s why we created this comprehensive service: to take something off your plate.

We'll guide you from gathering your first documents in the U.S. all the way to your arrival and integration in France—including full support getting set up in the French healthcare system with our local French partner, Settled in France.

Our relocation services are boutique style. We intentionally limit the number of clients we accept at any one time so that we can spend time with each person.

At the same time, we know you're juggling a million things while coordinating an international move.

We're confident you can do this independently, if you choose.

It's why we make YouTube Videos!

  • Healthcare? Handled from start to finish. There's so much more to it than just filling out the registration. From understanding how "mutuelles" work, to setting up your French healthcare online account, to your first doctor’s appointment, Settled In France will guide you through one of the most intimidating admin tasks so nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Our network = your network. Realtors, reliable services, secret expat clubs… France runs on relationships, and we share ours with you anytime we see it could help.
  • Small by design. We take a limited number of households each year so you’re never just a number — and we can keep creating free resources for the community.
  • We’ve lived this dream. We remember the thrill, the tears, the “what have I done?” moments — and we’re here for all of it with you.

FAQ's

  • If you're accepted as a client for Baguette Bound's visa service, you'll be invoiced for 500 euros as a deposit to hold your spot on our calendar.
  • This is fully refundable for 7 days after booking. During this time, you may change your mind or cancel for any reason and receive a full refund of the deposit.
  • After that, this deposit is non-refundable as we will have begun work on your file and reserved your space.
  • After the first meeting, you'll be invoiced 50% of the total cost minus the deposit payment.
  • After the second meeting, when you receive your completed visa application file, the remaining balance is due.
  • As you are only billed after work has been done, we do not offer refunds on the work that has already been completed and invoiced. However, we realize sometimes unexpected things happen, and should your plans change during the process, and you need to pause or cancel, you will also not owe any additional funds that have not yet been paid.
  • We accept credit cards or bank transfers as payment. You will be billed in Euros.
  • If you are an EU resident or have a primary EU billing address before billing of the service is complete, we must add 20% VAT to the total bill.

Are there any other fees?

The visa service does not include any fees due to the French Republic or incurred in the process of securing your visa(s):
These may include a visa application fee, photos, TLS (or other visa processing provider) appointment fee, visa validation once you're in France, translation fees, or travel costs to attend the appointment.

Do you guarantee I'll get a visa?

No. No one can "guarantee" that you'll receive a visa.  French visas are approved and awarded at the discretion of the French consulate, and they are not obligated to issue a visa to anyone, even if you meet the qualifications.

That said, we do guarantee two things:
  • We will only prepare your file if we feel confident, based on our first meeting, that you are able to check the boxes and provide the correct documentation to be approved.
  • If your visa does not receive a favorable decision, we will work with you at no additional charge to re-apply based on the feedback received from the consulate.

I'm not sure if a visitor visa is right for me and i have lots of questions about france - is the visa service the right choice?

Maybe!
During the visa service calls, we can cover a lot of ground and touch on many topics, but the visitor visa process is the main focus.
If you are trying to decide between different visa types, or are still in the information gathering phase about qualifications, the visa process, the move itself, pets, phones, banks, buying vs. renting, healthcare, finding the right region or town or what life in France might be like for you, consider booking our Consultation Service first where we can put a primary focus on all the other things.
